Castle Retreat – Karate Seminars with a Concept – Intensive, Practical, International
Four days of intensive karate training in a setting you won’t forget: high above the Rhine, in a historic castle, you’ll train hands-on at a top-level seminar. Your instructors are internationally renowned guests who share real-world expertise directly with you.
You’ll get around 18 hours of pure karate – indoors in the tatami-covered Knight’s Hall and outdoors in the castle courtyard – plus the things that make it stick: motivated karateka to connect with, healthy full-board catering, and a shared BBQ on Saturday evening. Made for karateka from green belt and age 16 up who want to sharpen their skills, gain new perspectives, and experience karate as functional self-defense. In short: 2 days, 1 experience, 100% impact.
Karate seminar at Stahleck Castle – where tradition and technology merge
Karateka from around the world have already experienced it – this unique combination of a historic venue, stunning Rhine landscape, and top-level karate instruction.
Burg Stahleck sits picturesquely above the Middle Rhine Valley, run today as a modern youth hostel that has kept its medieval charm. For the Karatepraxis Castle Retreat we hold an exclusive allocation of single, double, and shared rooms – so everyone finds the right fit, from a quiet single to a sociable group option.
Every meal is included: healthy, balanced full board so you can focus entirely on your training. The highlight is our Saturday evening BBQ, where connection, relaxation, and enjoyment take center stage – with a view of the sunset over the Rhine.
At the heart of the Karateseminar is the training itself: around 18 hours of practical karate, split between intensive sessions in the roughly 150 m² tatami-covered Knight’s Hall and the open castle courtyard, where you train dynamics, presence, and application in the fresh air. Sessions are methodically structured and tailored to every level of experience. You’ll be guided by a team of internationally experienced, practice-oriented instructors who don’t just teach karate – they live it.
And the setting does its part: beyond the sessions, there’s deliberate space for rest, nature, real exchange with fellow participants, and the unique atmosphere of the castle. A weekend that strengthens both body and mind.
